LEVEL5 Gooseneck Cleaning Brush was developed with our “Finisher First” philosophy in mind. This flexible cleaning brush allows you to quickly and effectively remove blockages within the Gooseneck Filler Tube allowing the mud to flow easily.
Blockages inside a gooseneck filler tube can be caused by the accumulation of dried mud, and can be very frustrating. The unique design of a gooseneck filler tube requires a cleaning tool that will not only fit within the dimensions of the tube, but that will be able to snake through the curves while scrubbing the walls clean of any debris.
This specialty flexible brush slides easily into the filler tube to clean the sides and eliminate blockages. After use, it folds away easily into a tool kit.
It is important to clean the Gooseneck Filler Tube properly after each use so that mud does not accumulate or dry within. Use a garden hose to run water through the tube and follow up with a Gooseneck Cleaning Brush to remove any leftover mud from within the tube. Flush and scrub until the tube is clean, and then allow it to dry.
HOW TO USE A GOOSENECK CLEANING BRUSH
If you don’t want to be slowed down with blocks in your gooseneck filler tube, the most proactive step you can take is to clean the tube after each use. Follow the steps listed below to quickly eliminate a jam and keep your mud flowing freely.
- First, detach the gooseneck filler tube from the compound pump.
- Then, rinse the inside of the pump with a steady flow of water.
- Next, extend the Gooseneck Cleaning Brush fully and insert the brush into the tube. Move the brush through the curve of the tube until you feel the obstruction.
- Then, move the brush to scrub off the accumulated mud.
- In many cases, the blockage should come free after these steps. If the obstruction continues, approach the jam from the opposite end of the tube by inserting the brush and scrubbing from the opposite end. Hardened mud will not be easy to remove, but we recommend that you continue to approach it from both sides of the tube and rinse after each attempt. **Do not insert items that may scratch, gouge or dent the inside of the tube as this may impede normal functioning.
- Once you have evacuated the jam, rinse the tube thoroughly.
- Finally, lubricate the interior of the tube with Fluid Film to help keep the mud flowing freely the next time you use your gooseneck filler tube.
TOOL MAINTENANCE & STORAGE
It is important to clean your tools and accessories immediately after each use. Follow these steps to keep your LEVEL5 gooseneck cleaning brush looking and performing like new.
- Run warm water over the Gooseneck Cleaning Brush to soften any joint compound that may still be present. Use a brush or sponge with soft bristles to remove any debris or mud from both the brush head and the metal shaft. Do not use wire brushes or other harsh abrasives
- For a deeper clean, a mild detergent or dish soap can be used with warm water. Rinse the tool thoroughly in warm water, then pat it dry with a soft towel.
- After cleaning, store the tool in a dry area.

Terms & Conditions
- The Warranty applies to the original owner and is not transferable.
- The Warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the product, and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from its use.
- The Warranty does not cover normal wear, misuse, negligence, fire, theft, loss or intentional damage.
- All shipments to the LEVEL5 facility must be freight paid. LEVEL5 reserves the right to determine whether to repair or replace any product covered under the Warranty. Discontinued products may be replaced with newer models when necessary.
